This plant is endemic to the high altitude areas of Tenerife and La Palma.
You'll notice typical features of a member of the Apiaceae (carrot family): a pinnate leaf, flowers in an umbel, and a strong parsley-like smell.
The leaves are rather thick and leathery. Perhaps this indicates structural adaptations to protect against UV damage of the photosynthetic tissues below? The bases of the leaves are white with woolly hairs.
This species typically grows in a dense clump like many of the other Teide plants, and retains its dead long-stalked inflorescences for some months.
